PartyPoker takes on Aussie gov’t with classified ad

PartyPokerAdPartyPoker has unveiled a secret weapon in its bid to make inroads in the land down under – a classified ad. While the Interactive Gaming Act of 2001 makes it an offence for a company in Australia or overseas to provide online casino games to any person who is “physically present in Australia,” PartyGaming is nonetheless advertising for a head of marketing based in Sydney to “leverage the brand at the forefront of the poker market in Australia and New Zealand.” Australia has never gone to any great lengths to enforce the Act’s provisions, but will Party’s ad be the red flag that makes the legislative bulls charge?
