LONDON, England — (PRESS RELEASE)

The report, published by iGaming Business, identifies three specific US states that offer a plausible chance of early adoption of iGaming legislation. Among the states analysed, New Jersey is found to be a very likely first state to authorize iGaming.

According to the report, 48 of 50 states are dealing with budget gaps in 2010, meaning that Internet gambling has been widely targeted as a revenue-generative way to help close those gaps. The report assesses the landscape in California, Florida, Iowa, New Jersey, Nevada, North Dakota and the territory of the Virgin Islands. In addition, it covers, in detail, the progress of the Internet ventures of the state lotteries.

“This report, researched and written between April and June 2010, relies on over 200 primary sources and over 50 interviews conducted with lawmakers, lobbyists, regulators, trade association heads, lottery officials and others who are directly or indirectly involved with – or who have a direct or indirect interest in – US Internet gambling,” explained the report’s author, Chris Krafcik.

“It will give the market badly needed perspective on how developments in US states are trending. It caters to all entities with an eye on U.S. developments – from London brokerage houses to Vegas casinos, from venture capital firms to technology suppliers – and offers a level of insight into state-level politics hitherto unavailable in any single report,” Krafcik continued.

AiG booked out the prestigious “Members Only” club in Fort Bonafacio district of Manila. Although they provided access into this otherwise private club, the cheap bastards didn’t even have drink tickets – let alone a bloody open bar! I’d ‘ave been sent into a blind rage had I been there… I hear the standup Clarion team lead the way in the booze dept – it was hard to tell pick which Clarion Boy would get the DAF judging by the way they were all knockin’ back the bad stuff. It seems like the crowd was a good turn out of industry creeps, peeps, and whatnots… I bet some networking got accomplished. If by ‘networking’ you guessed I meant drinking too much in the middle of a sausage party…you were probably there. The serious lack of fit birds or any girls really… probably explains why many finished their night off at a rather well know area of town starting with a ‘B’. I’m only assuming ‘B’ stands for ‘Brothel Town’.

After 2009′s annus horribilis and a bad start to the new year Ladbrokes are still struggling to get up and running, with the Magic Sign’s share price falling at the end of the week. There are three affiliates who stand out as probably the biggest and baddest party animals in iGaming… Pokerisivut.com, Smartgambler.com and RakeTheRake.com. So, given that this after party was sorted out by all three of these affiliate legends, it goes without saying that it went off with a bang.

As Jalouse is one of the most exclusive clubs in the capital, Paris Hilton was here last year. This time around America’s classiest hostess heiress didn’t turn up, but the place was still oozing with the cream of London’s social scene – myself excluded of course. But it was the iGaming crowd who stole the show, pouring into the VIP section like the Normandy landings and taking over half the club. Magnums of champagne were ordered en masse and throughout the night enormous bottles of Grey Goose were doing the rounds. Inevitably, there was only one way this bash was going to go – and that was the way of the pear – especially as everyone had already necked a skinful of wine at the IGB Affiliate Awards evening beforehand. All present were completely poo-nosed.

Becky’s highlights of the night included dancing on the tables with Nick from CakePoker.com, Johan from AffiliateTipsAgents.com, Arli of CoinFlip.com, the CardsChat.com boys and Andreas from internet-poker.com – but then that’s probably because that was just about all she could remember of the night. In fact, several people can’t actually remember getting home – but then that’s probably because half of them didn’t. Becky’s memory of events might be hazy but she does remember seeing one or two few iGaming people sidling off together for a, erm, nightcap… The night rumbled on until well past 4am, and even then some of the harder core were still up for more – and found themselves staggering off to the strip clubs and other such drinking ‘oles thanks to that other London legend – Kieran the London Club Promoter.

Hands down, Adriaan wins this award with flying colors. Michael Caselli may have gone topless in the club, but at least he could see straight…Adriaan clearly could not. Lets cut Adriaan some slack though, since EGR Live closed at 2pm that day, he decided to continue the “networking” at a local pub until the start of the iGaming Social at 7pm. He was still at the social when I left 3am. Now that’s a lot of drinkin’.

I would have to say that the Holiday iGaming Social at Chinawhite nailed six out of the seven main ingredients. Yes, I may have arrived fashionably late due to a 5-star dining experience with Bodog Network’s Patrik Selin, but lets face it…all the good stuff happens after midnight anyway.

Upon arrival, the first thing I saw was Caselli. Bingo. The guarantee of a fun iGaming party! Caselli promptly walked me to the back of the club where we had taken over a collections of tables and couches, complete with champagne and, believe it or not, plenty of drunk iGaming girls.

London’s new and improved Chinawhite nightclub was rockin’ from the minute I walked in until when I left at 3am, and the remaining iGaming die hards were leading the pack for sure. Highlights of the night include excessive champagne consumption, dancing on the designated dance floor, dancing on the couches, dancing on the tables, sexy poses on the tables, sexy poses for my pictures, and BEST of all, topless industry men.

I give this party a 7 out of 10. Topless industry men are HOT, but where were the midgets?

The 5th annual EGR Awards was an absolute pleasure to attend, report on, and, well, lets be honest…drink at. This year eGaming Review managed to attract a full house of more than 900 guests who witnessed the recognition of 17 operators receiving an award at the Old Billingsgate award ceremony venue. While I was unable to actually watch the recipients accept their award, I did have the honor of interviewing each and every one of them, along with the award’s sponsor, immediately after. In addition interviewing the award recipients and sponsors, I did notice some very special outfits, I enjoyed dinner and a plethora of wine at one of PKR’s three tables, I played some poker, I played some drinking games, I danced to 80’s music, and I stayed out till 3am. All in my red carpet dress.

Lets begin with the outfits. The night began with a champagne reception during which my producer planted me right by the door so I could conveniently ambush people for interviews upon entry. Ha. Truth is, I just wanted to scope out the outfits and fashion choices of our very international and very special crowd…so I could report them back to you, of course. Some outfits of note include an irresistible mustache on RaketheRake’s Karim Wilkins, a skull and crossbones decorated bow tie and cufflink set on PKR’s Jez San, the gorgeous cream and sparkly dress on Claire Leighton of Bodog Europe, the subtle yet stylish velvety purpley blazer on Bet Genius’s Mark Locke, and Caroline Steele’s lovely last minute ensemble due to the evil dry cleaners who were holding her originally planned outfit captive.

And then there was my outfit- my very red dress- the portable red carpet for the night, if you will. Seeing as eGaming Review brands the EGR Awards as the Oscars of the iGaming industry, we should have a red carpet and some interviewing to go along with the event, yes? Cue the CalvinAyre.com camera, Rebecca Liggero in a bright red dress, the blue penis mic, and VOILA! We’ve got ourselves a red carpet event without an actual red carpet. I would like to think the “how does it feel” interviews were fun for everyone involved because they sure as hell were fun for me. However, these interviews were a little rough on the memory bank…you try remembering a European name full of vowels, a company name, and the unnecessarily long name of an award 17 different times. Now do you see why I decided to get drunk afterwards?

Of course you do. Time for the after party. As soon the awards finished, all 900+ people made their way downstairs for dinner, drinks, dancing, poker and drinking games. I thank you PKR for kindly inviting me to your table, and I thank you even more for the endless red wine that was readily available at that table for me to drink. After dinner and wine, the 80s music began and the highly intoxicated members of the crowd migrated to the dance floor while the rest migrated to the Microgaming sponsored poker tables for some tourneys and prizes. While I do enjoy dancing and playing poker, I spent most of my time mingling, interviewing people, and playing drinking games with Karim. As fate would have it, I lost our intense game of hi/low and had to take the shot of sambuca as a result. Eww!! Thank god we have the whole thing captured on CalvinAyre.com camera.
