My female spies tell me that of all the clubs they’ve been to around the world, and let’s face it, they do fuck all else but go clubbing all year long, this one took the biscuit. It was so good that not only did the BAC crowd schlep over the bridge from Pest to Buda just to chill out in this gaff, but they stayed there on both Friday AND Saturday night after their BAC sponsored parties had finished. In fact, some people even turned down free booze at the sponsored parties to spend their own dosh at Bed Beach, where it was all happening.

Firstly, Bed Beach was crawling with women… nice women. Local girls, iGaming sorts, dancers, models, barmaids. It was like Bunny Time at the Playboy Mansion. We don’t know how or why, but the place was dripping with more honey than a beehive convention.

My female envoys tell me the choices for VIP tables were spot on too. For the right price (iGaming mugs will cough up for anything these days) you could choose the ultimate VIP area overlooking the entire club, the VIP area near the dancing girls, the VIP tables surrounding the dance floor, or the VIP table in the middle of the club’s pool. The music wasn’t too shabby neither if you weren’t drinking you were dancing. With fit birds. On tables.

Rebecca didn’t stick around at this one for too long as it was like Tiger Woods’ house when the wife’s away – hot and crowded. Becs confessed to getting battered on shots of Unicom before nicking off to Bed Beach to meet up with a few minted affiliates to dance on the VIP tables with the rest of the iGaming delinquents. Details are a bit sketchy but it seems C-planet threw a half-decent bash. Hot and crowded generally means lots of people, which generally amounts to all sorts going on. We can only assume that those who can remember it had a good knees-up.

Luxury. Entertainment. Birds. It doesn’t matter if there are 2 people at one of these nights or 20,000… an invite to a Bodog party is the hottest ticket in town. This one put the D in De Luxe; we’re talking fine cigars, authentic Hungarian booze to sample and take away, gorgeous women to sample and take away – I mean take vintage pictures with. Then there was the open bar, attentive finger food and tasty waitresses (well, you know what I mean) and hand massages – say no more…

And then there were the Bodog girls? The place was crawling with them. Wall-to-wall totty that outnumbered the fellas by at least 3-1. There were certainly worse places to be.

My spies were well chuffed at sitting next to the Godfather of Poker at his Klub in Budapest? The Doyle Brunson VIP party was an intimate and exclusive pre-party affair with guests playing some proper cards while enjoying a few drinks, decent grub and the company of the big man himself. Low key by the sounds of it but there’s no substitute for class.

The opening party at an iGaming conference always goes down like a trainee nurse on freshers’ week. Everyone is up for it despite the next day’s early morning conference. My spies tell me everyone got hammered and stayed out until 3am. Good work.

The Expekt opening party gets the nod as the best official BAC-sponsored bash of the whole conference. Big name poker pro Scotty Nguyen was suitably hammered, jumping around on stage like Jedward on speed and stuffing cake in people’s faces as they walked by. Rebecca tells me everyone got a taste of Scotty that night – you can own conclusions about what that means…

The Expekt crew also sorted a VIP area for their affiliates and iGaming mates which was a nice touch. Everyone likes a sealed off area, where they can look down on the minions while downing free booze and chatting up fit women. Can’t beat exclusivity.

Another sign of a good shindig is when people hang around after the open bar has closed. Normally everyone nick offs the second they have to put their hand in their pocket, but the Creol Bar was still heaving until everyone got their marching orders.

The big outdoor patio right in front of the club entrance was also a party winner. On a nice night in a great city, pissheads always like to hang around outside, having a fag and talking bollocks.

Calvin Ayre. Imagine that? He skipped out on the Bodog Social and magically appeared at Bed beach five hours later with his body guard…and then he fell in a pool…and then his body guard promptly escorted him out of the club and to the strip bar.
