In response to TruePoker.com’s owners identifying themselves as iMEGA members to aid the gambling association’s quest for legal standing in the Kentucky domain-name seizure case, the state’s attorneys have condemned the move as impermissible. What’s more, they claim that granting iMEGA standing would open the door to (entirely fictional) organizations such as the ‘Narcotics Trafficking Association’ or ‘Child Pornography Association’ to contest the seizure of illegal drugs or pornography. Seriously? Straw men arguments? Is that really the best you can do?
