Lottoland.co.uk Announces EuroMillions Price Freeze

Online lottery betting leader Lottoland.co.uk has announced that it will be freezing its EuroMillions prices at £2.

Lottoland.co.uk Announces EuroMillions Price FreezeThe news follows the announcement that the price of a EuroMillions line has risen from £2 to £2.50 for every draw as of Tuesday September 27th.

Following Camelot’s announcement that its EuroMillions price has increased from £2 to £2.50 as of Tuesday September 27th, Lottoland.co.uk has experienced a 536 per cent1 increase in sales as Brits seek better value elsewhere.

Lottoland.co.uk offers customers the chance to bet on the outcome of a wide range of lotteries from around the world, including EuroMillions, in order to win the same prizes, including the jackpot.

UK customers are able to bet on 25 lotteries, with PowerBall and MegaMillions from the US, Spain’s famous Christmas lottery El Gordo, 5 draws from Australia and many more available.

CEO Nigel Birrell said the decision to freeze EuroMillions prices at £2 provides Lottoland with another unique selling point.

“When the price of the UK Lotto increased from £1 to £2 in 2013 there was a significant drop-off in participation of over 40%. This shows that there is a lot of price sensitivity around this product.”

“Now that the price of EuroMillions has gone up, we’re here to let price conscious players know there is an alternative. They can bet on the draw with us and save 50p on what they would pay elsewhere.”

“Since day one it’s been our mission to provide more choice and better value for our customers; freezing our EuroMillions prices at £2 is a perfect way of extending customer choice and providing more value.”

Lottoland launched in the UK in September 2015 and has attracted over half a million customers since. It has recently launched its second major TV Advertising campaign titled ‘Lotto’s Evolved. Have You?’, which is currently broadcasting across Sky and ITV.

Since launching in the UK, Lottoland has collected four major industry awards, winning Rising Star and Alternative Operator at the EGR Operator Awards, Best Lottery App at the Gaming App Awards and Innovative Start-up at the EGR Operator Marketing and Innovation Awards.
