Phil Galfond Outs Scammer; Bill Perkins Challenges Dan Bilzerian to a Dare

Phil Galfond goes to print to name and shame Samuel Touil as a man who shouldn’t be trusted, and Bill Perkins is up to his old tricks again, this time, challenging Dan Bilzerian to a dare.

What makes Sammy run?

I’m not talking about the Budd Schulberg classic that became a Broadway musical. I’m talking about high stakes cash game player, Samuel Touil, and you don’t need to answer the question. I already know. It’s the pen of Phil Galfond.

Phil Galfond Outs Scammer; Bill Perkins Challenges Dan Bilzerian to a DareI’ve had a man-crush on Galfond ever since I became a member at BlueFire Poker. I used to look forward to his musings over at philgalfond.com and then, one day, after writing a brilliant piece on Viktor Blom: The Man, The Myth, The Legend, his pen ran out of ink.

For his latest opinion piece; instead of refilling that pen, he has jabbed it into the eyeball of Touil. Galfond chose to air his thoughts in a collaboration of sorts with PokerNews Chad Holloway, and it goes a little something like this.

Once upon a time, there was an incident whereby Galfond loaned $250,000 to Touil. He subsequently lost the money, repaid $50,000 of it a few days later, but then, despite having more than $200,000 in front of him during a game at The Bellagio that Galfond was at, Touil never paid a dime more.

Galfond said he wrote the article in the hope that more people will do the same thing and out people who openly steal money from people kind/dumb (delete where appropriate) enough to loan it to them.

“I’d also like to make it clear that I’m absolutely not telling this story for sympathy. I made a decision. I knew the risks involved, and I’ll handle the consequences. I’m sure many of you will think I made a dumb decision, and as it turns out, you’d be right.” Wrote Galfond.

Run Sammy run.

Bill Perkins and Dan Bilzerian in New Prop Bet

Bill Perkins is up to his old tricks again. This time the King of Instagram, Dan Bilzerian, is his focus of attention.

Perkins has bet Bilzerian $1.2m that he wouldn’t be able to ride his bike from his home in Los Angeles to the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign in less than 48 hours. He has until the 31 March to get on his bike so to speak.

The last time Perkins was embroiled in a prop bet it made international news after Antonio Esfandiari pissed in a cup while playing at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) during a lunge bet gone wrong. Tournament officials disqualified Esfandiari. He later won the $50,000 bet, apologised to all and sundry, and gave the money to charity. Will Bilzerian take him up on the offer?

If he does, I don’t like his chances. Not only has his ass been saddle sore free for 18 years. He also suffered two heart attacks while trying to bang a stripper high on coke and viagra.
