PokerStars join forces with Prostate Cancer UK to launch “Lads Night In,” a series of poker nights created to raise money for the leading men’s health charity.

PokerStars Launch “Lads Night In” Campaign to Raise Money for Prostate Cancer UKDo you know anyone affected by prostate cancer?

Keep waiting.

It will happen.

One in eight men in the UK will develop prostate cancer during their life. This means the need to diagnose early, provide better treatments and better support networks is paramount.

Poker is once again proving itself to be one of the most charity-focused sport/gaming enterprises in the world. PokerStars and leading men’s health charity Prostate Cancer UK are teaming up to launch a tidal wave of “Lads Night In” events where groups of men come together to play poker and raise money for this incredibly important cause.

On 25 Sep 2015 PokerStars wants as many people as possible to set up a home game with all of the proceeds going to Prostate Cancer UK. To sign up simply click on this link, follow the instructions and get ready to receive your “Lads Night In” pack that will include a PokerStars branded deck of cards.

PokerStars Team Pro and Triple Crown winner, Jake Cody, will be setting the standard by hosting his own VIP Lads Night In and you can win a seat in that game by clicking on this link and selecting who you would choose as your dream poker table line up. Cody will then select the entries that he believes are the most innovative.

Here is Cody’s dream six-max table line-up:

Seat 1: David Beckham

Seat 2: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

Seat 3: Phil Hellmuth

Seat 4: Adriana Lima

Seat 5: John Duthie

Seat 6: Jake Cody.

The “Lads Night In” promotion is part of a wider plan to promote prostate cancer awareness through the “Men United” campaign. Prostate cancer kills one man every hour. That is a startling statistic and one that we can all act to help reduce by doing something we love: getting the lads around the house for a few drinks, a laugh and a game of cards.
