The new Daniel Negreanu documentary ‘Kid Poker’ is set to debut in Canada, the star will also appear in an episode of a forthcoming TV show Four Kings, and his employers PokerStars slap a $10m guarantee onto the 2015 World Championships of Online Poker Main Event.

The highly anticipated Daniel Negreanu documentary “Kid Poker” is set to debut in his hometown of Toronto. The Team PokerStars Pro will work alongside PokerStars VIP Club to host the Daniel Negreanu Summer Party, where the Kid Poker Documentary to Debut in Canada; Negreanu to Feature in Four Kings TV Episode, and PokerStars Guarantee $10m for WCOOP Main Eventdocumentary will be aired to those fortunate enough to get past the scary looking man on the door.

The party will take place at the Real Sports Bar & Grill, August 1, 2015. The event is not open to the general public, but you can gain access by winning a series of specially arranged freerolls on PokerStars. At least three players per week will win a ticket to the event between June 13 – July 11, and one of them may get the opportunity to play in a special $50,000 Celebrity Charity Shootout, with the proceeds going to the person’s charity of their choosing.

European Poker Tour (EPT) commentators James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton, will act as Masters of Ceremonies, but PokerStars are keeping their celebrity roster very close to their chest for the time being.

Negreanu to Star in Four Kings

Negreanu will also be appearing in a new TV show called Four Kings. Speaking in an exclusive interview with PokerListings, the Canadian said that he would play himself in at least one episode.

The show centers on four friends who live in the penthouse suite of the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. Three of the friends are world class poker players, and the third is a very active bookie.

Negreanu told PokerListings that the show is interesting in as much as it focuses on the characters, more than the poker. Willie Garson, Robert Iler and Kevin Pollak are set to star.

In 2012, Pollak made a deep run in the WSOP Main Event finishing in 134th place for $52,718. The last time we saw Negreanu enter our living room he was playing poker against Gambit in the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

PokerStars Guarantee $10m in Prize Money for the World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event

The success of the 2015 Spring Championships of Online Poker (SCOOP) would have certainly whetted the appetite of the poker community in advance of the 2015 World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP), and PokerStars have just made things even more attractive by slapping a $10m guaranteed prize pool on the Main Event.

The $5,200 buy-in event is the most lucrative and prestigious online poker tournament ever devised. It’s been running since 2002, and players of the ilk of JC Tran and Yevgeniy Timoshenko have won the title.

Last year Fedor “CrownUpGuy’ Holz won the event for $1.3m before going on to have a sterling performance at the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, walking away with over €600,000 in prize money. He also won a SCOOP (L) event.

Over $450m has been handed out through WCOOP, since 2002, and Tyson ‘POTTERPOKER’ Marks holds the record, for the highest single win, when he won $2,278,097.50 in 2010.
