Ladbrokes hires Kaper marketing agency for royal baby betting project

LadbrokesLadbrokes hires Kaper marketing agency for royal baby betting project has chosen London creative marketing agency Kaper to design a campaign on the bookmaker’s betting odds for the Duchess of Cambridge Katherine Middleton’s second baby.

Odds offered on the sex, birth date, and name of the future royal family member aims to boost Ladbrokes’ profile in national consumer press and drive social media.

Punters were predicting that royal baby number two will be a girl. The name Elizabeth is currently the leading at 5/1 while Charlotte at 6/1 and James takes the lead as the most favorite name for a baby boy.

Recently, the duchess has revealed that her due date is not until late April, which led some bookmakers to reduce the odds on a March birth. April 20th is the most predicted date with 10/1, followed by April 18th and 21st with 14/1.

“Kaper showed standout creativity in its pitch, offering us something unique and fresh. The birth of Prince George in 2013 was easily the biggest novelty betting event of the year, and history looks set to repeat itself when he’s joined by a little brother or sister next month, ” said Ladbrokes Jessica Bridge, PR Manager.

Kaper founder Chris McCafferty added, “Ladbrokes is the most recognized betting brand in the UK, so we’re excited to be working with it. We know the nation loves a flutter on the royals and Ladbrokes is perfectly placed to be part of the conversation.”

Prince Charles to visit Churchill Downs Kentucky

In another royalty news, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall plans to visit Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby.

The visit is a part of agricultural sustainability initiatives, a cause that the royal has supported for a number of years.

In 2007, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) attended Churchill Downs to witness the Derby roses.

Charles and Camilla will be toured around the racing venue by senior track representatives.
