Amaya Gaming Group Win More Awards; Spin & Go Games Create Two More MillionairesThe recognition and rewards keep rolling in for the stars of online gambling, as Amaya Gaming Inc. receive yet more awards for their sterling performance in 2014.

Cantech Letter is an online magazine that focuses on Canadian technology. It was founded in 2008 by Nick Waddell and was once described by Canadian Business Magazine as: ‘one of Canada’s premier technology newsletters.’

Each year, a select band of Cantech Letter analysts, and readers, honor the very cream of Canadian online technology, and Amaya Gaming Inc. rose to the top of that discussion to be named the TSX Tech Stock of the year. Their youthful CEO, David Baazov, was also recognized for his due diligence by being awarded the mantle of TSX Tech Executive of the Year.

It seems PokerStars and Full Tilt’s puppet master can do no wrong in the eyes of the Cantech Letter award issuance panel. Amaya were also handed the TSX Venture Stock of the Year award in 2012 & 2013, with Baazov also picking up the same award during an identical timeframe.

“It is an honor for Amaya to have received this award three years in a row, and it reflects the ongoing dedication of our employees and the sound guidance provided by our board of directors,” said Baazov.

Baazov, 34, is one of the youngest CEOs in the game and lives in Montreal with his wife and four children.

Nick Waddell believes they deserve the award after they ‘outperformed the market since going public in 2010,’ and also noted that they have ‘built upon their historic success in strategically acquiring companies and driving growth.” Baazov was recognized for his ‘vision, determination and ability to complete such a transformational acquisition;’ referring to the $4.9bn acquisition of The Oldford Group and all of their toys.

Baazov was a keynote speaker at the Second Annual Cantech Investment Conference in Nov 2013.

PokerStars Award Two More Spin & Go Million Dollar Prizes

What do you think of PokerStars?

Do you think they are a machine? Do they have a heart or does their chest echo? Do you hate them, or love them? Do you miss them, can’t wait to get rid of them, or bemoan the misfortune of their competitors as you wish to never again have any part of them?

There will be mixed emotions, but for two people, in particular, there will be nothing but gratitude. PokerStars do a lot of things. It’s probably best that we don’t forget that one of these things is irrevocably changing people’s lives.

The Czech Republic’s ‘Tornado111’ and Canada’s ‘anushan_2323’ are the latest millionaires created by the Spin & Go promotion currently running on PokerStars.

That now means three people have spun a $5 investment into a Del Boy of a pay day, after the Russian ‘sss66666’ made history by becoming the first millionaire on Jan 12th.

The losers, in the biggest first prize bubble in the game, walked away with $100,000 – so there was no need to paint joker like grins on the faces of  “RusGreen’, ‘newann’, ‘ChipsMongot’, and ‘jukebox72,’ all of whom, for a brief moment, had that vision of grandeur a life changing sum of dosh will produce.
