Ladbrokes Digital Completes Playtech Switch

Ladbrokes Digital completes its switch to the Playtech platform after re-launching its casino offer; and now focuses on creating its single wallet initiative in time for the World Cup.

Ladbrokes Digital Completes Playtech SwitchLadbrokes have re-launched their online casino after completing the cross over to Playtech’s full range of products in a move that now means all digital products fall under the Playtech umbrella.

The switch to the Playtech platform has always been an integral part of the process that the Lads team have embarked on to turn around the fortunes of the struggling digital division, and I guess now it’s game on.

The previous casino software that was used on the Ladbrokes.com and dk sites has been pulled down and replaced with Playtech powered products, with some minor tweaks made to the Vegas tab that was launched during the summer.

Jim Mullen, Ladbrokes Managing Director, Digital, said:

“By moving to Playtech product we are giving customers popular and market leading games as well as enhancing our ability to have a single view of their playing habits and a cross product view of player activity.

“We have talked many times about the journey to provide customers with the ability to play different products using a single wallet. This enhancement represents another important step towards the creation of a seamless experience for our customers.”

The new offering also contains a fine and dandy looking bonus store which promises to give customers greater flexibility and control on how they play their bonuses, and anybody with previous bonus points generated on the old Microgaming platform will be able to transfer them to their new home.

The Digital division will now turn its focus onto the implementation of the IMS operating system, enabling customers to experience a single wallet in time for the World Cup.

Playtech Present a new Bingo Tablet User Interface

Playtech have not been resting on their Ladbrokes laurels. Instead they have been busy creating a new bingo tablet interface that is currently being used by Gala Coral, William Hill.

The new interface has been created to take advantage of the growing number of tablet users who are tired of the restrictive screen sizes of the mobile. The new interface allows players to play bingo, use the chat functionality and side games all on a single window.

The interface comes in both portrait and landscape formats and the lobby area has been much improved and suited towards players needs. Operators have the ability to customize the interface to include their own branding, and to also appease their customer base.

The interface was developed by Playtech’s dedicated bingo subsidiary Virtue Fusion and is based on HTML5 technology with native versions following in the near future.

Mor Weizer, Playtech’s CEO, commented, “We are very excited to launch our new Bingo Tablet user interface. This new and innovative interface is definitely a game changer in the Bingo space. Some of our licensees have already jumped on the opportunity to ramp-up their Bingo offering with this market leading solution, with many more scheduled for launched in the next few months. Some licensees have also seized the opportunity to maximize player experience by adding their own branded content. I am sure many of our licensees will quickly see the benefits of this new bingo offering and its instant player appeal. “
