It was back in October that this very writer brought you news of the plans and date for the 2013 British Poker Awards.

The plans for trophy deliverance were extensive and the date was the 12th November.

Then it passed and tumbleweed rolled into town.

Everyone knows that the cool kids always arrive last and the Brits are some of the coolest cats in the business – so we shouldn’t have expected anything less.

Bluff Europe will be organizing the awards that will be sponsored by PokerStars, and London’s Hippodrome Casino will be the host venue when the action gets underway on Monday March 3rd.

Although I am extremely tempted to provide you with some content filler by cutting and pasting the shortlists and categories in the white space below, my conscience is getting the better of me so instead just click here.

Voting for the readers choice awards have long since closed, but tickets are now currently on sale at the Hippodrome website, so hurry along and book your seat before The Devilfish and his kids take the remaining 25 seats.

Amongst the nominees include Barny Boatman who was recently awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Global Poker Index (GPI) European Poker Awards, Stephen Chidwick who took the UK Player of the Year award at the same ceremony and Toby Lewis who won the award for Internet Player of the Year.

The three Best of British will be hoping to add more silverware to the trophy cabinet with Lewis up for two awards and Boatman and Chidwick one a piece.
