PhilWeb posts healthy 2Q 2013 revenue numbers

philweb-philippines-revenuePhilippine-based gaming technology provider PhilWeb Corporation has had a strong run in the past couple or so years and that run is continuing to post healthy numbers as of the second quarter of this year.

In the latest round of its financial disclosures to the public, PhilWeb’s total revenue for the second quarter of 2013 has amounted to Php745.2 million, a dramatic eight-percent increase from the Php692.1 million it warned in the same time a year ago. For the first half of the year, PhilWeb’s net income reached Php528.4 million, a full 10 percent better than the Php480.1 million it generated during the first six months of last year. For the entire year, the gaming technology provider earned a record Php1.48 billion. Taking into account what PhilWeb has earned in the first half of this year, the company is on pace to eclipse 2012’s 12-month total with revenues estimated to hit a conservative peg of Php1.49 billion.

That may not be a huge spike in revenue, but considering that the number is merely an estimate based on how much the company earned in the first half of the year and it goes to show, or rather, it paints a picture that PhilWeb’s influence in the local Philippine gambling scene is growing by the day with seemingly little to no chance of slowing it down any time soon.
