International Gaming Awards dominated by iGaming firms

international gaming awardsThis year marks the International Gaming Awards’ sixth since it was first held back in 2008 and if you haven’t yet attended then where have you been? Since it was first held it has spawned a Women in Gaming Awards to go along with the main show and is a mainstay of the packed early-year conference schedule. Many of you will be familiar with the venue – The Brewery, Chisnall Street – as a number of other iGaming events have taken place here and as such it’s well-prepared for the alcohol-fuelled debauchery that more often than not occurs.

Competitors will be fighting it out for 20 awards in total that cover the entire gambling industry. We’re focusing on the ones that cover iGaming and there are 13 of the 20 that link directly to the online side of the industry. There are awards for everything from who plays the fairest to the industry number one in bingo, casino, poker and sports. There’s even one for industry publication/media service – where you might recognize one entry in particular.

Anyone with a passing interest in the industry will know someone as such is the widespread choice of categories available. iGaming Software Supplier will look to settle the argument once and for all which company offers the best value service to its customers. Online’s most innovative and ambitious provider or supplier will be recognized by the Gaming Industry Fair Play Award with the Mobile Operator of the Year likely to be one of the toughest to call given the success being enjoyed on that front.

The awards for Bingo, Casino, Poker and Sportsbook of the year will all be hotly contested with Slots Operator of the Year (Online) also an extremely hard one to call. This is a take made even tougher by the long list of nominees for this and all the categories. Although this is hardly surprising given that iGaming is choka-block with firms at the top of their game. We will also find out which is the Payment Solutions Provider Company of the Year as well as the Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Online.

Three awards encompass both the land-based and online sides of the industry with the Industry Publication/Media Service of the Year looking to identify the land-based or online publication that has pushed the boundaries in 2012. The company that has dominated the slots market will be awarded the Slot Manufacturer Online or Land Based award and Technology Provider/Supplier will aim to work out which firm has shown the most originality as well as constantly innovated.

It’s now only weeks until we find out which companies have been voted the best in their class for the industry and if you want to be there then tickets are still available. Even if you don’t walk away with an award it’s one event in the 2013 conference that you won’t want to miss.
