Betgenius and Betfair team up again; Paddy brings Roy the Redeemer to the party; Prima goes live with five

image002Betgenius has signed a new agreement with Betfair that will see them provide live video ads to the exchange specialist. PERFORM’s Watch&Bet services will be utilized to created adverts using “near live” highlights with the addition of live odds. It’s designed to boost interest in Betfair’s live betting offering and Dave Watkins, Head of Connextra Sales at Betgenius, added: This new technology demonstrates Betgenius’ recognition of the constantly evolving industry and the requirements consistently needed to match it; in this case providing cutting edge ad formats.”

Paddy Power has unveiled its latest marketing masterstroke as a huge Roy The Redeemer statue overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover. Those arriving into the U.K. by boat will see the 100ft high figure of England boss Roy Hodgson striking the pose of the iconic figure that watches over Rio De Janiero. The statue took a week to construct and Ken Robertson, spokesperson for the firm, told the Daily Mail: “Since Christ the Redeemer was constructed in Rio de Janeiro in 1931, Brazil has gone on to become the world’s leading footballing nation. We’re hoping some of that success can rub off on England in time for their Euro 2012 opener against France on Monday. Anyway, at the end of the day this is definitely the closest Roy will get to Rio this month!”

Prima Networks Spain has confirmed the first five licensees that will go live with their offering.
