The month of November has been renamed Movember. Why? Over 1.1 million men across the globe hit Movember 1st with a cleanly shaven face and let the mustache grow and prosper for 30 days until the end of the month. During this time these men are literally walking and talking billboards for awareness, education, surviorship and research for prostate and testicular cancer.
These men are also walking and talking targets for some fun at work because everyone loves to admire a bushy, furry mustache. The difficulty here is that some men enjoy sporting a mustache year round so you really have to be careful- it’s like asking a woman about her due date when she isn’t actually pregnant. Yikes.
All jokes aside, in order to contribute to this great cause, Movember.com offers you the choice of donating to an individual, a team or a general donation to the future of men’s health. The funds raised benefit The Prostate Cancer Charity, The Institute of Cancer Research and the Movember Foundation, all dedicated to raising awareness of cancers that effect the global male population.
Many males of the online gambling industry traditionally embrace mustache season and grow a little furry friend of their own in hopes of attracting donations from friends, family and other online gambling professionals. We’ve still got one day before the end of Movember, so check out the photo gallery of 2011 iGaming Movember mustaches, get out your wallets and donate now.
