If you talk about Black Friday to most people in the online gambling industry, they may well go and hide in the corner with ear-muffs firmly tightened. There’s no reason to fear this Black Friday though.
On the fateful day, US consumers that decided to bide their time in relation to buying a smart phone are sitting pretty after AT&T announced their very own sale of the century. On the day dubbed Black Friday (25th November) by the retail industry, AT&T kicks off three days that means you can get hold of certain models for just 1¢. At 12.01am on the day itself they will unveil a number of touch screen device deals with other deals running across the weekend. They include:
Saturday November 26 – All Windows 7 and certain Android devices for one cent
Sunday November 27 – BlackBerry 9860 for one cent and HTC Inspire Red is $30
Monday November 28 – Certain smartphones are available for one cent.
They only catch, apart from their being no Apple on the menu, is they all require a two-year plan and smartphones require AT&T voice and the minimum $15 monthly data plan. It’ll help the uptake of smart phone in the US, if nothing else and if you’re in a Vegas hotel room you can even access the online gambling industry via your smart phone. Better still, hop over to Europe where you can fully appreciate this branch of the entertainment industry.
The day is “celebrated’ on the Friday every year following Thanksgiving and marks the start of the Christmas shopping season aka don’t go to any shops for at least a month. A number of other US stores are having similar promotions on electrical gear and it might just be the time to brave it in order to pick up that blu-ray player and 51 inch plasma you’ve had your eye on. It’ll make you feel like you’re actually in the war that’s going on in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Definitely worth the best part of $500!
