China has seen app session growth showing almost a nine fold increase in the first 10 months of the year. Growth in China was the largest in the world at 870%, according to a report from Flurry Analytics. The rise is being put down to the increased uptake of old moldy Apple’s and the cheaper handsets that are on offer from the likes of Android. Official Ministry of Industry figures show the number registering with an app store rising by 50% to 150m in Q3 with the amount of mobiles owned rising by 2.5% to 1.25billion. It will be exciting news for those in the increasingly valuable mobile gaming industry that will see any growth in the gambling industry’s largest market, Asia, as a good thing. App uptake increasing coincides with the trend in the gaming industry and reflects why Asia is the place to be right now.
