One of life's dilemma's
Men all over the planet went gaga last week when Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto V. We can’t begin to imagine how excited everyone is today with the news that the long-awaited trailer is finally upon us. Will you celebrate by going out and stealing a police helicopter for 20 minutes or do you just steal your next-door neighbors BMW as he’s about to get out?
The latest chapter in Rockstar’s sordid book of blood, hookers and handcuffs puts us in Los Angeles as we take on the role of a “retired” gangster. Rather unsurprisingly, the move to the city didn’t work out as planned and you’re likely to find yourself with the usual dilemma – after banging your fifth hooker in as many minutes do you run her over or invite her in for seconds?
GTA games are one of the series that has managed to stand toe-to-toe with sports sims since the PlayStation was first released. Grand Theft Auto was released in 1997 and it has grown from there. The title’s heyday came between 2000-2004 with GTA3 spawned both Vice City then San Andreas to make it a fixture in every teenage boys bedroom. It was one of those things that everyone had a copy of regardless of whether you were 18 or not. You might not had the Exorcist on VHS but sure as hell you’d have GTA
Developers Rockstar are expected to release the game next year when they’re obviously hoping that everyone’s had enough of the latest version of Call of Duty and can’t wait to be a thief/murderer/womanizer/drug dealer/gangster (delete as appropriate).
