Konami appoint new Director of System Sales; Pokerstars about to hit 70 Billionth hand
Slot machines and casino management systems provider, Konami Gaming, has appointed a new Director of System Sales and Marketing.
The lucky chap that the Las Vegas based company deemed was just right for the job is Clark A. Warren. In this position he will be responsible for systems sales and marketing initiatives. He will also focus on new business development and building strategic relationships for Konami Gaming – who are a subsidiary of Konami Corporation, renowned for Dance Dance Revolution for the PlayStation.
So why was Warren the man chosen for such a role? Well, not only because he can burn his way through a PlayStation dance mat in a matter of days, but he has more than 20 years of gaming experience. Why else? Most recently, he served as a Director of Sales, Southern Nevada and Arizona at International Game Technology (IGT) for over a decade. During this time, Warren worked as a Director in both the systems and games divisions – making him even more perfect for the job.
Chief Operating Officer at Konami Gaming, Steve Sutherland, said: “We are very pleased to have Clark join Konami Gaming, Inc. His diverse professional background in gaming and technology makes him an ideal candidate to lead our Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) sales and marketing efforts.”
While Warren pops open the champagne bottle, many PokerStars gamers are preparing to do the same.
Pokerstars.com, the world’s largest regulated gaming operator and poker site, is getting ready to deal its 70-billionth hand over the next ten days. To celebrate such a prestigious moment, the site will award more than $750,000 in cash prizes to players who take part in real money ring games from October 29 until the Mega Milestone hand hits.
The promotion will award prizes across 300 regular milestone hands for players dealt into every one-millionth hand from 69,700,000,000 through 69,999,000,000. Finally, the 70-billionth Mega Milestone hand will award one lucky player with a $70,000 prize, in addition to other cash rewards accrued through play at the tables.
The 70-billionth hand cash prize giveaway is the latest in a series of Mega Milestone promotions and is another step on the road to its 100 Billion. We wonder what the prize for the 100th Billion hand will be? What do you think it should be? A £100 Billion would be nice…
