At an event in Cupertino California, Apple unveiled its latest iPhone, the iPhone 4S.
The new iPhone 4S comes with 16, 32 or 64GB of storage and is expected to be officially released in seven countries by October 14th.
The look appears the same as the previous version, the iPhone 4S comes with new upgrades including: A powerful A5 dual-core processor, improved antennae around the sides and compared with the iPhone 4′s 5-megapixel camera, the iPhone 4S offers 8-megapixels that deliver sharper pictures with better colours.
The new iPhone also has improved wireless performance and faster data upload and download times. But Apple wouldn’t just release a new phone that takes better pictures, that would be too weak. For companies like Sprint who have put all their faith and hope in the future of the iPhone and it’s performance in the market, the newest feature of voice activation control is just what the doctor ordered.
The new iPhone 4S has Siri, a voice-activated assistant which effectively brings voice control to the iPhone 4S. The new feature allows you the user to ask questions in natural language. It can also do dictation. Essentially, Apple was trying to make a smarter phone that you can talk to.
Does the future hold a smartphone that will talk back to you with a sassy attitude like K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider? That could get annoying.
The iPhone 4S will run Apple’s new iOS 5 operating system, which will be released next week and it includes the new iMessage messaging system, improved notifications and a Newsstand app for newspapers and magazines.
