cake at the SBC Social, an event for igaming sportsbook industry professionalsThe quarterly Sports Betting Community (SBC) Social kicked off this evening in central London, the location being Grace Bar in Piccadilly Circus.

Of course today was the one of the warmest days of 2011, meaning the venue was hot as shit and everyone was sweating their brains out.

Rasmus of SBC was able to recruit over 300 people for tonight’s festivities, the largest SBC Social to date, but all guests were aware that the body heat situation was out of control and the only way to deal with it was to get drunk off the free booze thanks to sponsors NETLLER, The Daily Sport, Sage Pay, Fireball and Ardenta.

Upon entry guests were greeted with steamy sauna conditions, red wine, white wine, beer, food and a whole lot of dudes in suits as per usual.

Although the scene was mostly male, the Fireball girls were a huge hit, dressed in tight revealing outfits and handing out shots of fireball, a whiskey drink spiced up with cinnamon and other spices that made it HOT.

The sponsor VIP room at the venue was a nice touch for those who forked out some cash for the event, although the booze didn’t seem to make it into the room until Grant Miller of The Daily Sport brought in some Fireball bottles to spice things up a bit.

At 9pm, three hours deep into the party, sponsors Pentasia whipped out dozens of bottles of champagne and Rasmus of SBC treated sponsors and September birthday iGaming professionals to a cake that served 200 and beared the sponsor logos.

From 9pm until 1:30am guests enjoyed the remaining champagne, hit up the cash bar and tore up the rug at the dance club next door until it was time to skedaddle. Who knows what happened after that and who cares…nothing good happens from 2am and onwards!
