catalina robayo miss universe 2011The greatest beauty pageant show on the planet has just released some photos of the 2011 Miss Universe contestants and men all over the world couldn’t be happier, there’s just one problem, the prudes organizing the pageant.

Unlike last year where Trump used sex to sell, it seems the prudes behind the scenes of the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant in Sao Paulo Brazil, are doing everything in their power to tone down the sexiness of the pageant. What’s that all about?

As the Australia International Business Times reports, Australia’s Miss Universe 2011 candidate, Scherri-Lee Biggs has been reprimanded for her sexiness. According to a news.com.au report, the 21 year old Biggs has been told that her evening gown made of satin is “offensively see through.” Oh it gets worse gentlemen, it that wasn’t enough, she was also told that her bikini was “way too sexy.”

Who invited the Fun Police?

Biggs has even been ordered to cover up by making her bikini bottoms wider as the pageant organizers wanted to make sure that her skimpy outfit still manages to cover what all red-blooded males are will be tuning in to the pageant to see.

Biggs isn’t the only contestant being forced to tone down her sexiness. According to Australia International Business Times, the super sexy, Miss Colombia, Catalina Robayo, has been given the warning – “Don’t forget your underwear” by the Miss Universe staff.

That’s a little harsh.

Apparently, she had been reprimanded for showing up in super mini-skirts without underpants on. Good for her.
Gentlemen, once a year we get to see the most beautiful women from every country showing us their finest on the same stage at the same time.

Is it too much to ask that pageant organizers give us a little more skin? The answer is yes. The outfits designed by a Brazilian designer were apparently too skimpy, so they pageant remixed them.

According to Yahoo!’s Shine, Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe organization said “The costumes were beautiful, but they sent us the first round of competition suits and being by a Brazilian designer they were definitely a lot smaller than we’re used to or most of the contestants are used to. We delayed our shoot so we could add material to the bottom; otherwise we were going to have serious problems on television.”

Not as serious as the problems teenage boys would have had watching the competition in front of their families.

It should go without saying that I’ll be cheering for Miss Colombia tonight, even if she is wearing underwear.
