Lockout ends Favre watch 2011 begins

Brett Favre

With the NFL Lockout finally over, the typical preseason NFL chatter can begin, which means, it’s time to talk about Brett Favre. It’s become tradition this time of the year to begin the Brett Favre watch and this year, the rumors are already swirling.

It may have began when sportsradio personality Howard Eskin tweeted @howardeskin : “Just reported on TV Eagles have some interest in b farve once they trade kolb. Sources told me its possible. Not sure what farve thinks.”

That tweet was followed by a reaction from Eagles QB Michael Vick who tweeted Sunday:

“I would be honored to have Brett Farve as a backup. That will be amazing learning how to toy with defenses the way he did his whole career.”

Vick has since deleted the tweet from his account, but it’s been enough to put Favre back in the limelight and start the Favre comeback talks all over again.

It makes sense for the Eagles to want to sign Favre as a backup for Vick. Favre would have an opportunity to re-unite with Andy Reid and the way Vick plays, Favre is bound to get an opportunity to play in some meaningful games when Vick is banged up. That is, if Favre is done for good.

Well sportsbooks, there isn’t a more appropriate way to welcome the NFL back than with a Brett Favre offering. Will he play? Where will he play? Can he be a back up?

What about the cock shots and sextgate? Here we go!
