London is currently the centre of the iGaming universe as far as Europe is concerned and it’s no surprise given its location geographically. It’s currently one city that is experiencing unprecedented growth in Western Europe and that’s before you even consider the nightlife. Its red light district might not match up to Amsterdam and the beer isn’t as cheap as Prague. The capital city is still a force to be reckoned with in every department. Don’t just take our word for it though for the public has spoken.
Travel website TripAdvisor’s fourth annual European Cities survey asked 3,500 European travelers what they thought of their cities. The data collected revealed that London has retained the title of Europe’s most exciting city. So not only is it the centre of iGaming fun in Europe, it’s everyone else’s favorite as well. That’s what comes with being home to the iGaming industry – rubs off on everyone else!
TripAdvisor spokesperson, Emma O’Boyle, said, “This research is based on traveler perception, so it’s encouraging for everyone involved in London’s tourism industry that, despite the concerns around cost, the city is regarded by European travelers as a vibrant and accessible destination. Undoubtedly the buzz around next year’s Olympics has contributed to London being crowned Europe’s most exciting city, and we fully expect this momentum to continue into 2012 and beyond.”
As much as London is loved the capital of another European iGaming hotbed is derided. Paris, capital of France, was voted as having the least friendly locals, being the continent’s most overrated and…don’t say it too loudly…it’s not even the most romantic anymore! That must be what comes with creating an extremely difficult iGaming market.
