Living G.I.P.
Living GIP is living Gambling Industry Professional style. That means you live life to the fullest, you kick ass at your job, you roll like a baller and you party like a rockstar. Got it? GIP baby!
You’re either living or dying. In truth, we’re all slowly dying, but there are those of us that are speeding up that process by not living life to the fullest.
I can’t help but think that when a person holds himself back from living or doing something they might love because of fear or whatever reason, they are indeed killing a part of themselves, you might even call it “self- assisted suicide.”
Get busy living or get busy dying right? I didn’t make that up, that’s from Andy Dufresne- Shawshank Redemption.
All of this living talk has been spurred on by the memory of “Dr Death” Jack Kevorkian who helped sparked the debate over assisted suicide. Kevorkian has now passed away today at 83 years from a short illness and he leaves behind him a shady legacy of dead patients and a never ending debate. We’re not going to get into that debate here.
But we can ask ourselves, are there things we are doing in our own lives that are killing us? I’m not talking about living a healthy lifestyle, though that is important, but equally important is finding joy and happiness in the years we have on this planet.
Gambling, Drinking and Carrying On. It’s all about living and living how you want to. Don’t let the fun police stop you, don’t let other people’s perceptions of you shrink your confidence. If you want that promotion, work your ass off and get it. If you want that girl, man up and go talk to her, if she says no, buy another drink and move on to the next one.

The next time you’re hammered but do another shot for the boys, that’s GIP! When you leave the party early with two dimes on your arm that’s GIP! When you wake up the next morning hungover to shit and still make it to the conference on time, that’s GIP!
