Calvin Ayre party with a lot of girlsCalvin Ayre has been organizing parties since he was in 11th grade and continues to do so to this day. Calvin has always followed the philosophy that a well run party is actually interactive theater- one of those “five hours feels like a ten minute blur” because there is so much going on around you. Its not just about the booze and the babes, it’s also about location, guest interaction and tickling the senses…and more booze and babes.

A very important milestone is about to be reached in Calvin’s life, the big 5-0 on May 25, 2011. In order to celebrate, the big man has planned a Seven Deadly Sins birthday party which is likely to be the best party the industry has EVER seen…and will be lucky to get out of alive.

I have had the privilege of attending a number of parties that Calvin organized, a Bodog brand licensee hosted, or CalvinAyre.com arranged, but there are a NUMBER of parties which Calvin organized over the years which I did not have the pleasure of attending and I can only imagine what those were like. In preparation for the 25th and in honor of Calvin’s party planning skills that have been aging for almost half a century, lets take a minute and review some of the best online gambling parties that the industry will never forget.

Calvin Ayre Bodog Affiliate Luau Party

Bodog Affiliate Luau Party

Bodog Affiliate Luau @ Kanaloa, London Affiliate Conference 2011, London
While Calvin was not involved in this party, he did make an appearance which was added bonus for Bodog affiliates and friends. Bodog Affiliate decided to plan a bash whcih beat the cold January weather in London with a Luau themed party that was loaded with Bodog girls, cocktails served in pineapples, limbo contests and every single guest got leid. With real flowers that is.

Bodog Compound Parties @ The Bodog Compound, Costa Rica
The infamous Bodog Compound was designed by Calvin himself to entertain guests and throw massive parties- it is the ultimate party house. Most people who have experienced a Bodog Compound party love the male oriented entertainment, the hot tub, the cave, the Harley, the open bar and some have even caught their zzz’s in the Bodog Compound pool.

The beautiful Bodog Compound

Bodog Gathering @ Globe Restaurant, GIGSE 2006, Montreal.
Prior to the passage of the UIGEA, GIGSE was a huge event for iGaming professionals and the Bodog party at Globe Restaurant was an absolute gong show. Calvin had arranged a slew of Bodog girls to keep all wine glasses full throughout the mingling, eating and entertainment so guests were absolutely and unintentionally annihilated by the time they left. While this event was certainly more of a gathering than a Bodog party, the free flowing wine from beautiful women certainly made for an interesting evening.

Calvin Ayre Keynote Speech at the Budapest Affiliate Confernece 2009

BAC Keynote Speech Party

CalvinAyre.com Poster Party @ Noir Bar, August 2010, Las Vegas.
Calvin himself could not make this CalvinAyre.com Poster Party one but BodogBecky and a slew of sportsbetting and poker forum posters sure did. Posters from SBR, Covers, 2+2, Pocket Fives, Flop Turn River and the RX made appearances and enjoyed the luxurious Noir Bar and its good looking mixologist bartenders who served drinks all night on Calvin’s dime.

Keynote Speech @ Budapest Affiliate Conference 2009, Budapest
Only Calvin Ayre would turn a keynote speech into a party. His reasoning? Who wants to hear a traditional keynote speech, they are fucking boring! Instead Calvin brought in Brazilian dancers, gymnasts, cocktails and masks for everyone, and of course Pierre the midget bartender plus he made his grand entry by salsa dancing to the podium disguised as the Phantom of the Opera.

Calvin Ayre Prague Party

CalvinAyre.com Launch Party

Bodog Conference party @ Tao, July 2006 Vegas
Full props to Calvin for holding this party even though the Bodog Conference itself was canceled just days before due to the arrest of David Carruthers. In full Calvin Ayre fashion, the party must go on, so the entire nightclub remained reserved for Bodog Conference guests, celebs, poker players, Asian chicks, midgets, and hours of entertainment that felt like 10 minutes.

CalvinAyre.com launch party & Calvin’s 49 bday @ iGaming SUPER Show 2010, Prague
This was not just a launch party, it was an experience….an experience that began with getting frisked at the door by characters from the apocalyptic Mad Max movie. Inside the party there were guns, pith helmets, axes, midgets, live pigs, dead pigs on a spit, barrels on fire, mud wrestling women, an impersonating Tina Turner, jousting contests, a very dangerous absinthe bar and a diamond studded Calvin Ayre.

Bodog Conference party @ Rain, Bodog Conference 2005, Las Vegas
This was the best party in iGaming history to date, taking place back in the pre-UIGEA hay day. Calvin reserved the entire Rain club and attracted sports legends and celebs such as Mike Ditka, Reggie Jackson and Shannon Elizabeth. There were Cirque du Soleil performers hanging from the ceiling, midgets everywhere, photograph booths, and a VIP room in the Real World Suite for an after party which I am not allowed to write about.

Glad to see that I attended the nr 1 party of all time. Can only agree and completely support that choice!

Was that in 2005 at Rain in Vegas?  I could have sworn it was in 2002 or 2003.  All I know is I woke up in bed at 2PM the next day and totally missed the 2nd day of the conference!
