Sealed with a kissThat was it then.

William Wales and Kate Middleton tied the knot in a ceremony earlier today at Westminster Abbey and will live happily ever after until Kate realizes she chose the wrong brother and plumps for Harry.

If you watched on the BBC then you would have been enthralled by the running commentary of pictures from Hyde Park including telling us that the crowd was throwing confetti. At a wedding! You’re going to have to let me sit down for a couple of minutes to contemplate on that.

If Wills was on tenterhooks about being jilted at the altar, it will have been nothing compared to the sports books who were offering numerous markets on various goings on inside Westminster Abbey.

Rarely not the first where specialist odds are concerned, Bodog was one of the first out there giving punters options aplenty on the Royal Wedding. They were more successful than others but the wedding still ended up costing them quite a sum.

Nick Gray from Bodog Europe commented, “the gamble on a yellow hat for The Queen turned out to be spot on which cost us a lot. A short train we got right, other were quoting over/under 5m, we were 3m.”

Sports book William Hill was also offering odds on the most anticipated partnership in the history of the world…or…well…maybe since Pwin.

“We have been on the end of a Royal roasting as almost every favourite has come in and we will be paying out a six figure sum in the next couple of days!” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams. “The only light relief for us was the fact that Philip managed to stay awake and Harry did not drop the ring!”

There you have it. Wills will now be sweating on whether or not his invite to come drinking at Bodog Europe HQ is still in the post. Harry meanwhile is one who would be more than welcome at Calvin’s 50th given his past exuberant party lifestyle.
