Sexting victim Sterger wants her life back

Brett Favre Jenn StergerJenn Sterger, the sexy former NY Jets sideline reporter has been telling anyone who will listen that her life has been turned upside down the Brett Favre saga and that contrary to popular belief, she’s not a gold digger. That said, I’d wager that she ain’t messing with no broke…Fellows.

After months of just showing under every title associated with sexy reporter, sexting, and Brett Favre and gold-digger on internet search engines, Sterger told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that her life has been in the dumps since her run-in with the silver bearded Favre. Radaronline reported Sterger as saying in the interview with Stephanopoulos,”I just want my life back…That’s all I’m asking for.”

That’s all well and good, and I’m sure we should all have a great degree of sympathy for Sterger but let’s keep in mind one key fact. It was Sterger who broke the news about Favre’s sexting, phone calls, voice mails, and cock shot images to the media. For Favre it was just another errand pass that got intercepted, except this one didn’t cost him a trip to the Super Bowl, but it could put a an ugly stain on his career and legacy.

It’s hard to feel sorry for Sterger. From all accounts, Favre appears in the wrong, but that said, what did Sterger really expect to happen? Did she think she could expose arguably the highest profile NFL athlete in a lewd scandal and have it all just go away? Her lawyer demanded that the NFL suspend one of it’s greatest QB’s of all the time for hitting on a sexy sideline reporter. In light of some of the inappropriate things NFL players do, this wasn’t very high on punishment list by the league, yet Sterger pressed on for a resolution. What the fuck did she think was going to happen? Clearly she was going to be forever linked to Favre and this scandal, anyone could have told her that before she decided to spill the beans.

She gave up her normal freedoms when she broke this story, welcome to the life of a celebrity.

Interestingly enough, she’s not charging Favre for anything, like sexual harassment, yet. So if he wasn’t sexually harassing her to the point where she had to notify authorities, then why did she expose the scandal in the first place?

To me, there’s only two possible answers. Either, she’s not the brightest tool in the shed and she actually didn’t think it would go this far or she knew that a story like this about Brett Favre would make her famous/rich and possibly lead to other career opportunities like scandals did for some of Tiger Wood’s mistresses. I’m leaning towards the latter.

Again, I’m not saying she’s a gold digger, but she ain’t…well, okay, yes, I am saying she’s a gold-digger.
