Becky’s Bender: April Gaming Conferences and APRIL FOOLS!
Many of you know that CalvinAyre.com will be covering a series of gaming conferences in April and that I’m up to my eyeballs in preparation. Many of you also know that I was off the physical and virtual grid yesterday because we told you that “CalvinAyre.com was purchased by Scott Longley” and yours truly would have certainly been canned if this really was the case. Seeing as I cannot lie for $hit, I decided to hide for the past 24 hours, but now I’m back online and APRIL FOOLS to anyone who believed that Scott Longley took over the site! As if Calvin would ever allow the Ayre Heads to be removed!
So back to reality, back to my mobile phone, skype, IM, and facebook and back to April conference prep and party planning.
Over the next two weeks the iGaming industry has three conferences, Gambling Technology Strategies in London, The iGaming Forum in Stockholm and the World Gambling Briefing in Malta. While none of these events include big official celebrations full of free booze and entertainment, we are talking about three cities that are full of nightlife and activities- check back with Becky’s Bender next week for more on this.
In the meantime, here’s a quick guide to the conference schedule and the cocktail receptions that have been arranged by the organizers. All in all pretty manageable, but I’m a little scared for what will happen on the eve of the 14th in Malta…I hear that club life does not kick off until midnight and that the clubs just don’t close. God help us all!!
