London Affiliate Conference to host domain name auction

lac-host-domain-auctionIt’s hard not to think of the iGaming domain name market like an elaborate penny sweet shop right now such is the amount of them available at the moment. Add this to the news late last year of 2000 domain names going up for auction and the end of this month might be the time to try your hand at the domain name game.

The London Affiliate Conference (LAC), taking place next week in the capital of the iGaming universe, will be holding an online auction of domain names in association with SnapNames and Moniker. These are of course the two companies that famously sold Slots.com to Calvin Ayre for $5.5million only last year.

It will be an auction of exclusively iGaming domains and includes Wagering.com, OnlinePokerTournament.com, RaceHorseBetting.com, Blackjack.mobi, Roulette.ca, PlayGin.com, GameOfPoker.com, Gamble.us amongst others.

Alex Pratt, Head of iGaming Business, organizers of the conference, said, “LAC is our flagship and biggest affiliate event of the year, so it makes sense to hold an auction at the same time. We want to ensure that our delegates are able to generate business throughout our events, whether that’s though networking, learning new skills in the conference sessions or grabbing great domain names.”

The auction takes place at SnapNames.com and runs from Tuesday 25 January at 1700 GMT to Tuesday February 1 2015 GMT.

    I heard Calvin is going to be bidding this year on the unique domain Sportsbooks.net at the conference. I also heard sportsbook.com is going to try and buy it.. I bet this domain bidding goes very high really quick.

      I would never bid on another companies brand….I hate it too much if thats done to me, so they have nothing to worry from me. BetUS does this kind of crap however….they have a bodog branded domain going into them as I heard…..I think you can tell a lot about the character of an organization with this kind of move.
