beer-most-expensiveAs far as online gambling news goes, it’s sometimes appropriate to band it together with any news we get from the wider entertainment industry, and even rumours about alcohol, porn etc. Well, anything that’s seen as a taboo by the PC (political correctness) club, and can be blamed for the social wrongs in the world today.

Therefore, how we rejoiced when we found out that Boston-based beer company Samuel Adams have developed a beer that is very strong and out of reach of the binge drinkers. This 27% ABV tipple isn’t no Carlsberg Special Brew, Olde English, or Tennants Super.

The beer, named Utopia, is brewed in cognac and sherry casks for as 15 years, and sells for approximately CAD$114.95 per 710 ml – this is if you live in Canada and are buying from the LCBO. You will also be subject to a lottery that runs from Jan 6th to 13th if you want to be in with a chance of “winning” a bottle of the coveted liquor.

“Because of the extremely limited availability of this product, there was not enough to distribute to stores,” it said on the LCBO website.

As far as the taste is concerned it doesn’t say anything on the site, but it’s sure to be quite the acquired one if strong beers of the past are anything to go by.

Now we wait for it to be released in the UK, and the government using it as another stick to poke binge drinking, even though it will be around the £100 for a bottle. I’ll be getting mine imported if that’s the case.
