If you haven’t got a social network account on either Facebook or Twitter then, apart from being safe from the new wave of cyber attacks, you must have solved the conundrum of how to not get bored with stuff that’s old. How else are you able to keep up with what’s going on in everyone else’s lives? Could always ask them what they’re up to, but where’s the fun in that! Facebook stalking is much, much more fun.
The topics that are trending on Facebook and Twitter will give a good idea of what’s been hot in the world for the past year, and something that’s taking the online gambling world by storm is right up there.
After HMU (Hit me up), World Cup, and Movies, iPad and iPhone 4 are the fourth highest global trending topic on Facebook, adding more fuel to the assertion that smart phones and tablets are going to have a huge effect on the future of online gambling. Twitter, meanwhile, was concerned with some massive world disasters, which were quite rightly ahead of the mentioned technological advances. The Gulf Oil Spill, World Cup, Inception, Haiti Earthquake, and Vuvuzela, were all ahead of Apple iPad and Google Android in the chart. It does beg the question though: should the online gambling be looking at the Vuvuzela as the next area of growth?
