When you live a fairly adventurous life, or have the money to make sure you’re always on an adventure, sometimes your adventures will inevitably land you square in the face of real danger. We’ve talked about this before on CalvinAyre.com, and we’ve tried to give some helpful tips on what to do in certain situations, like when you’re face to face with an angry bear.
Sure, most people would turn and run, and then again most people would end up as top soil, we talked about how to fight off a bear. But that is in self defense. There are of course those sick fucks out there going hunting armed with a shotgun and a Rambo 12 inch gutting blade, looking for these defenseless animals. They make sport of it, seeking the wealth in the dead bear, albeit, black market wealth.
The gall bladder of a bear is usually used for medicine purpose in old Chinese’s medicine. The bile kept in the bladder is expressed to cure several sicknesses and is used in anything from eye drops to pharmaceutical drugs. Additionally, the organs of bear are sold at cost of $400 to $600 bucks a pop. Again, please note that hunting bears for game and selling their organs on the black market, is highly illegal. And those sick bastards chasing these beasts down should consider how they’d like it if someone hunted them down and ripped their gall bladders out.
It’s not as trivial as a gall bladder here, a heart there, a couple testicles, and there you go, another weekend in Vegas all paid for…It’s a serious offense. Worse yet, we as a society have to choose some things to stand up for, and killing bears for their bile is about as wrong as it get in our books. That said, if I’m face to face with an angry bear and it’s either me or the bear, please believe it won’t be me if I can help it. Love bears, but I love living more, I just won’t be taking it’s insides to sell on the black market, that’s just dead wrong.
