This time next week, it’s likely many of you reading this site will be nursing quite the hangover from the industry Oscars, made better only by the rather large trophy that you went to bed with. The eGR awards may well be taking place next week; today sees the release of the eGR Power 50 into the public domain. The list, which is published in this month’s eGaming Review, lists the top 50 iGaming companies according to certain criteria.
After their founder this week professed her love for the position private companies hold, Bet365 have been named as number one in the eGR Power 50. They rose from fourth place last year to take the gong and will be considered strong favourites to take the Operator of the Year award at next Wednesday’s awards ceremony.
PartyGaming remained in second place, PokerStars a controversial new entry at number three in the rankings, given their position in the USA. Fourth place went to Mangas Gaming after their successful transition into the regulated French market. Last year’s winner Bwin had to be content with fifth place though.
Each company is given an overall score out of 100. This is divided up into Financial (out of 40), Strategy and Deliverability (out of 20), Geographic Reach (out of 15), Influence (out of 15), and Diversity (out of 10). The full list can be downloaded here.
