At this point bettors must be taking the plunge and betting on Bristol Palin, the most improbably of contestants to win the whole shebang on Dancing With The Stars. I thought this show was about talent, but week after wrong I’m proven wrong. Somehow this show which was once a show about stars learning to dance and impressing us with by showing talent in various genres of dance, has digressed into some sort of popularity contest, with the most popular girl being the one with the least amount of talent.
Brandy was the latest star to be voted off the show. I’ve loved Brandy since “Sitting up in my room” and “The Boy is Mine”, she’s super talented and was actually my pick to win the whole thing. I sensed the unthinkable might happen a while ago, I saw how Bristol kept advancing and I had to ask who the hell was voting for Bristol Palin, and why…Well, my fears continue to be realized. Inexplicably, Bristol Palin has survived another round and the talented Brandy got her walking papers. What is the world coming to? Is up, down, is left, right? When will this injustice end?
How has politics somehow filtered into reality television? This isn’t a political race, it’s a Tv show, that was once judged on talent. I’m not just mad because I’ve lost money on my pick…Well, I am just mad because I lost money on my pick, but I’m also disgusted that somehow Sarah Palin’s influence combined with Bristol being relate-able to a majority of the public voters who probably can’t dance, as the reason I lost money on picking Brandy to win.
Moving into the finals now is Bristol, Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey. Anyone who picked Bristol in the beginning will be shaking down sportsbooks for a pretty penny.
