Bodog Europe CEO Patrik Selin is truly a man who is successful in the art of wearing a number of different hats and every single fitting. Over the past two months we’ve seen Bodog make a mockery of the struggling world economy by looking like the Man City of the gaming world – such is the number of signings they’ve made. Selin has also shown himself to be quite the poker player, advancing as far as day three in the WSOPE and taking part in the EPT London a week after. It’s surprising he finds time to pen articles for anyone really!
Selin’s latest article on the eGR magazine website looks at three key areas that are currently developing in the iGaming industry – mergers, IPO, and the French market. In particular it looks at the merger between bwin and PartyGaming, and also the IPO that Betfair undertook in the middle of last month. It looks at the held view that the “PWin” merger can be immediately seen as a success. This view is also echoed with the IPO at Betfair, before any time has elapsed on either deal.
