The Machine gets to keep Sharapova’s heart
I had hoped it was just a fad, something she was just trying out, I had hoped the rumors weren’t true, but alas, they are, Maria Sharapova is getting married to Sasha Vujacic. Who? Well, they know him as The Machine, at least that’s his self entitled name, but he’s more of a tin man really, but now he’s got a superstar heart.
Vujacic plays for the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers, which, and let’s be honest, is how he ended up even meeting the beautiful Sharapova in the first place. As far as overachieving goes, that’s not the case for Vujacic on the court, who has been nothing more than a utility role player for the Lakers, though he made decent contributions during last year’s championship run. It was probably after that and after the Lakers shipped hometown boy Jordan Farmar to the swamp that Vujacic realized his days in LA might not last forever. So he’s done what any wise man would do, he asked the most beautiful, richest and most powerful female athlete he knew to marry him.
I guess the fucked up thing is that Sharapova said “yes”. She must really love bench players that shoot the three ball with great inconsistency. This is what you call overachieving to the max. Maria Sharapova is one of the most successful female athletes in the world and Vujacic, well, most people outside LA don’t know who he is, and they shouldn’t. But at the end of the day, we can’t hate on the man, in fact, we salute him, if there was one shot he couldn’t afford to miss, it was the chance to land Sharapova…Nothing but net. Slow clap.
As a parting gift for the Sharapova lover’s, here’s the best of one of the most beautiful female tennis players in the world. Ogling is just not the same when she’s married.
