It’s about that time right now where industry professionals are getting their groove on at the BAC and for those who dropped the ball and didn’t attend, hopefully you’re getting your swerve on somewhere else, but I can almost guarantee you’re not having as much fun as you would be at the Budapest Affiliate Conference.
But you know how we industry professionals get down, sometimes the get down is so good, you stay down. I’m talking about gamblin, drinkin, and carryin, on, that’s how we roll. And at Conferences, sometimes those parties can do you in and day one of the conference ends up being last time anyone sees you until day 3. It happens, and it’s not always your fault, most of us know our “I’ll be functional tomorrow” drinking limits, some of us don’t, and occasionally some of us get tricked. By tricked I mean, our minds tricked us, and the next day you wake up saying, I didn’t think I was that drunk…Usually said by the guy who was running around naked with a tin foil hat…
So ladies and gentlemen, how do you cure your conference hangover so you can still network and learn and be functional the next day? Well, I’ve heard that hot and sweaty morning sex is a surefire cure…But sadly, you can’t always bank on that option being available. Here’s some ways to cure that Conference party hangover…
Replenish fluids
Sleep isn’t an option, not when you need to be functional all day…Unless you have a pair of those glasses that Homer Simpson would wear with wide open eyes painted on the lenses…Otherwise, it’s fluids that your body needs, do not leave your hotel room without juice and water and lost of it. And you got some last night, that’s and extra bottle.
Eat mineral Rich Foods
Grab a pickle, or scarf down a can of tuna. Just do it, it helps replace the minerals lost in your body and will clear your mind a little, only try this if you’re not the puky type. Polish people actually drink pickle juice to cure their hangovers.
Down a Bloody Mary
Nothing cures a hangover better than, more alcohol. You get to keep the good times rolling and the tomotoe juice will have you feeling right as rain.
Take Vitamin B and water before bed
This works for me, I don’t how or why, but I carry Vit B in my travel for this exact purpose. It’s saved me from a hangover time and time again. Sometimes an Alka Seltzer in the morning can do the trick!
If you have time try and get a sweat or sauna and hot tub in the morning, followed by a hot and cold alternating shower, that sometimes helps, especially if you have company…
Once you feel better get your ass back in the game Champ and get ready to do it all again the next night!
