Oddschecker’s monthly look at who’s the best in the betting industry has remained unchanged for the umpteenth month in a row, as Bet365 sit pretty in first place of the top ten gambling sites. Thanks to successful horse racing promotions, the Stoke-based company have opened up the gap between themselves and the floating ship that is Betfair, suggesting that Betfair’s new marketing and advertising campaigns have done little to dent Bet365’s stranglehold on the sports betting marketplace.
Bet365’s market share increased to 16.3% in September, whereas Betfair were only able to achieve 12.7% of the clicks. Elsewhere in the top ten, Stan James were able to hang on to their slim lead over Ladbrokes in third place as the Gibraltar-based group saw themselves also in third for horse racing and football bets.
As far as the top ten are concerned, there are plans afoot to put on a charity boxing match in aid of Sport Relief early next year, but as number one Ray Winstone has insisted on bare knuckle rules only it’s still unsure as to whether it will go ahead
