Toni Braxton and her company Liberty Entertainment has been forced to file for bankruptcy. For Toni Braxton, the once sensational R&B singer, this is the second time she’s had to file for bankruptcy, but this time she like many others can blame it on Vegas, but not in the traditional sense.
Toni Braxton is not by any means an irresponsible gambler who spend the house and the life savings in a Vegas casino. But the singer was forced to cancel several high profile shows that she was set to perform in Vegas due to microvascular angina, a heart condition that rendered the singer unable to perform.
Unable to perform and with the bills piling up reaching between $10-$50 million, Braxton was forced to file for bankruptcy after a failed attempt to sue Lloyd’s of London, which had insured her for the Las Vegas performances in case they had to be canceled. Lloyds later denied her claim based on her having a pre-existing condition and the courts dismissed the case entirely.
