BodogBecky completes London’s ½ Marathon in 01:56:15!

Run To The Beat Half Marathon Yes, I know what you’re thinking…believe it or not, there is more to my CalvinAyre.com and BodogBrand.com existence than partying and boozing!! I can run too.

I’m pleased to say that all of Team Bodog successfully completed London’s Run to the Beat ½ Marathon, I personally finished in 1 hour, 56 minutes and 15 seconds, and it was all in support of the Beating Bowel Cancer charity.

Aside from the fact that it was FREEZING COLD on race day, the whole event was such a great experience, and I especially enjoyed the bonding time it provided for group of us who made up Team Bodog and ran the race all together. The only snag was that the servicing tube line was “severely delayed” (something that never happens, of course) so the journey to the starting line did not go as planned. The tube issues ultimately caused the organizers to delay the start by 45 minutes to accommodate the late and flustered arrivals, but everything worked out in the end, even if some of us had to fork out £35 for the unexpected cab ride.

As soon as the race was over, Team Bodog headed over to the Pilot Inn for beers, food cake and warmth. Best of all, between the five of us, we have managed to raise £960 for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity so a huge thank you to those who donated it’s not too late if you would still like to contribute to this great cause.
