End of Summer iGaming Social review and HANG OVER
Wow. My god, am I hung over!!!!!! I would like to begin this party review by thanking Jodie Thind of Lyceum media for organizing such a great time, thanking my beloved Bodog Europe for sponsoring the drinks and cake, thanking Robert Williamson III for the beautiful bottle of red wine, thanking Matt my camera opp for the cupcakes, and thanking everyone else who showed up for celebrating my move to London and my joint birthday party with the party organizer herself.
The social venue, Kensington Roof Gardens, was an stunning bar scene on the top floor of a building situated on busy Kensington High Street, complete with a fountain, a proper garden, a huge grill, and of course, endless cocktails. Hundreds of igaming professionals, friends and poker pros such as Robert Williamson III, DevilFish, John Tabatabai, Liv Boeree, Antonio Esfandiari, and WSOPe bracelet winner Phil Laak joined us throughout the night.
The Bodog team and Jodie kindly organized a huge “Welcome to London BodogBecky” cake, and Jodie and I, the two birthday girls, celebrated with champagne, cake cutting, cake eating, and causing the usual trouble as we always do. In a further effort to celebrate my birthday, industry icons AJ and Jon Thompson, Michael Caselli and James Fleming introduced me to “the birthday bump”, something that I don’t recommend if you’re really, really drunk.
When the general public entered the club around 11pm, our crowd migrated to a VIP table near the live music where Bruce Gamble of Pentasia graced the dance floor, and the rest migrated to the bar or roof deck gardens near the heat lamps. Towards the end of the evening we discovered a chef cooking up burgers on a huge grill, probably the greatest surprise on earth, and clearly the best £6 burgers that any of us have ever had in our lives.
And I don’t remember anything after that.
