As profit falls, Tabcorp looks to boost share of Asian VIP market

Tabcorp-Asian-VIPAustralia’s Tabcorp Holdings posted a 10% drop in net profit during the first half of 2010, partially the result of weak demand at its Queensland casino operations. Fully aware that the company’s control of the state of Victoria’s gaming machines is coming to an end in 2012, Tabcorp is making a play for the lucrative Asian VIP market by investing heavily in luxury perks at its casinos, including two private jets for flying fat cats in from the Asian continent.
