Becky’s Bender: August Festivities on the West Coast
Before my big relocation to London on September 1, I will be spending August on the West Coast and thought it only appropriate to dedicate this week’s Becky’s Bender to some of the fun activities happening there while I’m in town. I will not even bother with any fun events happening in the UK or Europe this time around because all you slackers are on “holiday” and you won’t be there to enjoy them!
Summer Vancouver iGaming Meetup
First up is the Summer Vancouver iGaming Meetup, the brainchild of Lyceum Media’s Larry Colcy who thought my trip to Vancouver would be a nice excuse to set up a social and bring some fun people together. The idea is to capitalize on the nice sunny weather in Vancouver and meet up at a patio bar for some socializing and reuniting. August 10th is the proposed date, but depending on everyone’s availability, the 9th, 23rd and 24th are also possibilities. Keep your eye on the facebook invite for updated details, and if you have any patio recommendations, please do let Larry or I know!

SBR Bash
The annual SBR Bash is taking place at the Golden Nugget in Vegas August 27-28 and all SBR members are invited to attend. SBR has arranged an “icebreaker with entertainment” for all guests from 7-9 on Friday the 27th, a nice “preparty” for the CalvinAyre.com poster social might I add!
If you’re not too hung over on Saturday, join team SBR for a morning golf tourney starting at some unacceptable hour in the AM and an afternoon poker tourney starting at 2pm and hosted by Bodog Poker Pro Evelyn Ng. On Saturday night SBR has organized dinner, cocktails and entertainment, and if we’re REALLY lucky, perhaps Loshak will rap for us the second year in a row.
