Half of French gamblers shun state-sanctioned betting sites

French-Avoid-State-Betting-Sites Despite French citizens having had the option of placing a World Cup wager with a state-sanctioned betting site this time around, half the punters in France still preferred to trust their money with those dastardly international betting outfits. Though the French liberalization scheme was put in place some time ago, we like to think this distrust of state-sanctioned wagering will eventually become known as the PlayNow effect.
