French take on PokerStars by going on strike

We at CalvinAyre.com do sort of try to avoid national stereotypes if we can help it, but sometimes these people don’t exactly help themselves. Like the French online poker players who have reacted to the excessive 7.5% rake they are being charged by PokerStars.fr in their country’s new “liberalized” online marketplace, by going on strike. Yep, short of throwing Camembert at the operators or shagging their wives, they couldn’t have reverted more to type.

In this instance, though, these revolutionaires are to be congratulated because by blocking the sites and not playing, they have cost PokerStars a beaucoup de Euros. Bien joué et chapeau! Read more.
