A helicopter making its regular run from mainland China to the gambling hub of Macau ran into mechanical problems shortly after takeoff, slamming into the water minutes later. Miraculously, both pilots and all 11 passengers escaped with only minor injuries because the pilots had the presence of mind to engage the craft’s inflatable buoys before impact.
