Ladbrokes MD slams Ireland betting tax plansWithin the industry Ireland’s plans to tax online gambling firms is going down like a fart in a lift, with the managing director of Ladbrokes Ireland, Joe Lewins, the latest to add his one Euro’s worth to the debate. “I can’t understand why we can’t have extended betting hours,” says Lewins. “Come September you are driving everything online because you are screwing the betting shops by closing early.” Driving everything online?
