Archie Comics introduce first ever gay character

Turns out Jason Lee’s character Banky in writer/director Kevin Smith’s bisexual opus Chasing Amy was right in claiming that Archie is NOT fucking Mr. Weatherbee. Just don’t tell that to Kevin Keller, Riverdale’s newest resident and gay-icon-in-waiting, set to make his debut in an upcoming storyline entitled Isn’t It Bromantic?. But before any sportsbook puts up prop bets on when Jughead will finally come clean as to why he’s been rejecting Big Ethel’s advances all these years, Dan Parent, the artist/writer behind Kevin’s creation, wants it known that “traditional Riverdale characters won’t be coming out.” Read more.
